Autoreflection: The image of the target on the coverglass of the Micro alignment telescope of Taylor Hobson. This is obtained in autoreflection mode for setting up squareness of any target with respect to the line of sight.

Alignment: a cross wire used as a target. This is used when very high precision is required, as it avoids problems with the non-parallelism of glass targets.
Alignment: standard circular target. The red cross can be used for the real time adjustment of a target with respect to the cross.
