The calibration of the displacements recorded on the CCD to those on the targets is inbuilt in the software.

| Alignment: |

- Start the CCD exposure, and focus on the coverglass target. Take the CCD image, and draw a circle around the target using the mouse (see figure at left). The relevant values for the computing of the centroid are automatically transferred to a table.
- Focus on the next target, and repeat the above procedure.
- Continue the process till you have reached the last target.
- Choose the two targets which define the line-of-sight in the Settings.
- Click the Analysis button. The centroids for all the targets are computed in a few seconds.
- Now proceed with the alignment of any two targets. Click on the Graphics button 2, and choose a pair of targets. Click OK. The graph will give you the magnitude and the direction in which you have to move the target for the alignment.
- You can put a cross over any target. Suppose you wish to manually align in real time target 3 with respect to target 2. Do the Analysis as above. From the Output table, note the value of the centroid of target 2. Click the Crosshair button, and put in these values. Press Ok. Now focus on target 3 and start the CCD exposure. Click on the cross button on the tool bar at top. The cross will now appear along with the image of target 3. Adjust target 3 till it appears centered with respect to the cross. This gives the approximate centering. Now repeat the above precedure (Steps 1-6) to do the accurate alignment

| Autoreflection: |
|
- Focus on the cover glass target, and take the image. Draw a circle around the target.
- Adjust the telescope such that it is focused to twice the distance of the target which is to be set perpendicular to the line of sight. Now record the image refelected from this target using the CCD. Draw the circle around the target and do the Analysis. The graphics button 2 will give you indications on how to regulate the target.
