SpotOptics was founded in 1996, with focus on wavefront sensor based on the Shack-Hartmann principle and wavefront sensor systems and application of our wavefront sensors to both the industry and Research. Our wavefront sensors are based on the Shack-Hartmann principle
SpotOptics is based in the University town of Padova (Padua), in Veneto region of Italy. Galileo taught mathematics at the University
We have more than 20 years of experience in the following fields:
Optical design using ray-tracing packages
Optical metrology using interferometers and wavefront sensors based on Shack-Hartmann principle
Design and construction of instruments using our wavefront sensor based on Shack-Hartmann principle
Software for image and optical analysis
Software for instrument automation (also for the production environment)
Software for statistical data analysis
We offer fully developed end-user products incorporating our wavefront sensor based on Shack-Hartmann principle, as well as consultancy.
Complete solutions in the field of optics
Our design group can cover all the phases of the design of complex optics and opto-mechanics using the most advanced software design packages available in the market (like Pro Engineer). Our workshop can construct optical instruments (based on our wavefront sensors) of the very high quality following the strictest tolerances. Both groups represent the best combination of the most advanced technical expertise with the Made in Italy design style that is particularly appreciated by our customers.
Complete solutions in the field of software
Our software group develops the control software for the full automaion of our wavefront sensor based instruments as well as the numerical analysis software. The use of our wavefront sensor based instruments is made very simple because of the advanced and compact optical design, and a high degree of automation. The control software specifically developed by us allows the full control of the wavefront sensor based instrument (even from an external PC), and our analysis software gives you very precise indications about the quality/alignment/mounting of the optical element under test. Finally, detailed diagnostics suggests how the optical quality can be improved. All the results from the software are available in a few seconds
